Our double width modular shopping bay can be designed to suit the specific types of trolley that are likely to be used at the parking area. They would typically be 1.1m high with a mid-rail at 550mm to provide perimeter protection but with our modular design the whole system can be designed to suit.
The double bay design features a central section that separates the bays but keeps the material to a minimum for cost as well as improves the overall aesthetics of the design.
The uprights can be cast into the floor or top fixed by selecting the desired method of fixing. Where casting into the floor it is essential to add the amount of material you want to cast in onto dimension A, for example, if you want the height of the rail to be 1100mm above the floor and cast in 250mm then you should specify 1350mm for dimension A.
The length of the system can be designed to suit but it is essential when selecting the width (Dimension C) to allow for the uprights at each side and the central section. If you were to have trolleys at 600mm wide you would need to add 250mm to allow for the uprights at side and the central section to give some clearance.
The major benefit of this system is that should a collision occur and damages a section of the trolley bay then only this section needs replacing.
All of the fittings and tube for this system come in a galvanised finish that can be seen on the individual product photographs.
