Our Modular Column protection can be used not just for Columns but for other obstacles that need protection from vehicles in a car park environment. They are made from our robust D48 tube to provide excellent collision protection.
The perimeter design can either be fixed to the floor using a base plate or cast into the support surface. Where casting into the floor it is essential to add the amount of material you want to cast in, onto dimension A, for example, if you want the height of the rail to be 1100mm above the floor and cast in 250mm then you should specify 1350mm for dimension A.
The length and width (B &C) of the system can be selected but it is important to allow clearance on each side for the uprights so we always recommend adding on a minimum of 200mm to the measured width/length of the obstacle to ensure clearance and ease of fitting.
The major benefit of this system is that should a collision occur and damages a section of the guardrail then only this section needs replacing.
All of the fittings and tube for this system come in a galvanised finish that can be seen on the individual product photographs.
